A dazzling Christmas market in a historic European city has travel bloggers raving but its location may surprise you. According to local media, the Christmas market in the historical Romanian city of Sibiu has been gaining so much in popularity that all the hotels were fully booked for the opening weekend last month

Built in the 12th century by German settlers known as Transylvanian Saxons, Sibiu’s pristine old town has retained its grandeur and is not just one of the prettiest towns in Romania, but perhaps in all Europe.
